LIST OF ALL NIGERIAN EPS RELEASED IN 2020


(List of EPs Released In 2o20)… 2020 was another great year for the Nigerian music scene as the number of projects released experienced a surge.
Artistes have proved that the era of releasing albums and EPs isn’t completely dead.

Over 6o EPs were released from January to December and Tooxclusive has compiled a list of these projects. Below is a list of all the EPs released in 2020… Enjoy The Ride!!!

NIGERIAN EPs RELEASED IN 2020

1. Omah Lay – “Get Layd”

After the success of his debut single “YOU” which was released on the 14th of February, Omah Lay dished out his debut EP ‘Get Layd” which pushed him to the spotlight. The project which houses 5 tracks shows off his range of vocals and how he simply can’t be boxed into one sound. From the mellow, sultry vibes on “Damn’ to the rugged masochistic delivery on ‘Ye Ye Ye’, Omah Lay won the hearts of many within a short period. The EP has received multiple streams so far and is still one of the most played EPs on all digital platforms in the country.

2. Oxlade – “Oxygene”

Oxlade launched the melodic, Spax-produced ‘Away’ alongside the release of his dazzling debut EP ‘Oxygene’. The EP sees a selection of six vibrant tracks that offer a formal introduction to the talents of the exciting Lagos-based musician Oxlade, ahead of his inevitable and imminent ascension to stratospheric heights.

The EP had production from amazing top-class Nigerian producers including Spax, Dera, Lussh, Echo and London-based Nosa Apollo and featuring a must-hear collaboration with the British-Nigerian singer Moelogo on ‘Tables Turn’. This body of work is still receiving massive streams and is still buzzing on all digital stores.

3. Bella Shumrda – “High Tension EP”

After a successful outing in 2019 with the smash hit “Vision 2020,” the OneWord Global record artiste, blessed his endless supportive fans with “HIGH TENSION” the EP. The EP Consist of 6 tracks, five new sounds, a feature from Olamide and 2 of his great hits “Vision2020” and “Upgrade“. The EP released on his birthday got production from notables like ID Cabasa and AJeOnDMix. The album has amassed over 2 million views on streaming platforms giving the album a successful outing.

4. T Classic – “Underrated”

In a bid to follow up with his classic 2019 hits “Nobody Fine Pass You” and “Think About It,” T-Classic released his debut project, ‘Underrated EP‘ under Mix Naija Entertainment & SONY Music on the 24th of February, 2020. It consists of five (5) tracks and features from DMW acts, Mayorkun and Peruzzi on the lead single “Where You Dey”. The EP was engineered into perfection by the trio of Iambeatz, Killertunes, and Mowizzy.

5. Terri – “Afroseries”

After teasing fans for months, Terri finally released his debut EP, his first body of work under Starboy, Wizkid 1st of May. The EP is a solo project which consists of 7 Tracks. Terri worked with five music producers; Killertunez, IamBeatz, Sarz, Tuzi, and Blaise Beatz. The project was executively produced by Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid. Within a few months of its release, the EP garnered millions of streams, and its lead single “Ojoro” has amassed over a million views on Youtube.

6. Tems – “For Broken Ears”

Tems dropped her debut EP titled “For Broken Ears“ which is a 7 tracks project with no feature that houses the lead single “Damages.” The singer meditates on love, life and relationships, and weaves subtle melodies with airy R&B production in a cool yet refined manner. Releasing emotions in her arresting vocals.

7. Zinoleesky – “Chrome Eccentric”

Marlian Music protege, Zinoleesky released his debut and highly anticipated EP titled “Chrome Eccentric.” The body of work consists of 6 tracks; 4 new songs and two previously released singles; “Mapariwo” and the buzzing tune “Kilofeshe.” Zinoleesky tells the extraordinary journey to where he finds himself. It’s a record and a state-of-mind, in many ways.

8. K1 De Ultimate – “Fuji The Sound”

On the 21st of August, 2020, Fuji icon, K1 De Ultimate set an unforgettable record in the history of Fuji music, The legendary singer released one of a kind project – an Extended Playlist titled “Fuji The Sound. The EP houses 6 tracks with guest appearance from Toby Grey and Teni. K1 is an example of the saying that; ‘‘The Older The Berry, The Sweeter The Juice’. Despite being a fuji singer, K1 has proven his versatility in the game with this new project. This EP is the one that housed the Hit track – “Ade Orin Okin“.

9. Omah Lay – “What Have We Done”

Released on the 20th of November, 2020, Omah Lay’s “What Have We Done” came 6 months after his debut EP “Get Layd.” The new EP consists of 5 tracks that include a remix of “Damn” from the “Get Layd” EP. The project which has the hit song “Godly” has production credits from Bizzouch, Echo The Guru, Omah Lay, Tempoe, and Tuzi, with mixing and mastering done by Swaps.

10. Skales – “Healing Process”

Skales released “Healing Process” later in June after dishing out “Selecta” and “Badman Love.” The EP extended play houses 7 solid tracks, including collabos with Jamaican disk jockey, Walshy Fire alongside Ice Prince, and Nigerian MC, MC Makopolo.

11. MI Abaga & AQ – “The Live Report”

MI Abaga and sensational rapper, AQ released the buzzing EP – “The Live Report.” The EP houses 6 tracks and its production credits were claimed by Beats by Jayy. The entire project was also mixed and mastered by MI himself.

12. Masterkraft & Vector – “Crossroads”

Sensational rapper, Vector, and music producer, Masterkraft (aka Mastaa) released their joint EP- “Crossroads.” The body of work which is a perfect blend of Hip-Pop, Rap, and afropop is a 5 tracks project with guest appearances from DJ Magnum and DJ Neptune . The EP is a project that’s an intersection of two giants and a redefinition of rap in the African music landscape or perhaps the real definition of rhythm and poetry.

13. Lil Kesh – “Ecstasy”

The street-hop titan Lil Kesh delivered his highly anticipated EP “Ecstasy” on the 19th of November 2020. The EP consists of 8 solid tracks that has the lead singles “All The Way” and “Agbani Darego.” The set features gigantic collaborations with Naira Marley, Fireboy DML, Young Jonn, and Shaybo.

14. Reminisce – “Vibes & Insha Allah”

“Vibes & Insha Allah” by sensational rapper, Reminisce was released on the 29th of July, 2020. The body of work consists of 6 tracks with guest artistes; Tiwa Savage, Fireboy DML, MO, Fatimah Safaru, and productions from Krizbeatz, Sarz, TMXO, LooneyTunes, and Aivert and has the lead single “Ogaranya”.

15. Olamide – “999”

Olamide started the year with his 1oth body of work titled “999.” The “999” EP houses 9 tracks with guest artistes; Snow, Phyno, Cheque, JackMillz, and Rhatti among others. Olamide also featured his son Batifeori aka Milly on this project. It has production credits from Pheelz, Cracker Mello, ID Cabasa, Eskeez and Olamide himself also comes in has a producer on this body of work as he co-produced the first track “No Time“.

16. Zlatan – “Road To CDK”

After a successful 2019, Zlatan released the iconic “Road To CDK” EP—a five-track project featuring other Zanku Record signees: Oberz, Papisnoop, and Jamo Pyper. The lead single, of the same title, was the first track to be released in March and was produced by Mansa Jabulani.

17. Simi – Restless II

“Restless II” by Simi is a 16 minutes, 6 tracks EP which features UK female rapper, MS Banks, AfroSoul singer, WurlD, and her multi-talented husband, Adekunle Gold with productions from Sess and Oscar. Prior to its release, she premiered the EP’s lead single “No Longer Beneficial” and the project is a sequel to her debut EP “Restless” which was released in 2014.

18. Barry Jhay – “Barry Is Back”

Barry had teased fans with his sonorous and honeyed vocals for a really long time and to put fans out of their misery, he released “Barry Back” to announce his presence back in the Nigerian music scene. The EP houses 9 amazing tracks and it boasts of a collaboration with DMW boss, Davido.

19. Wande Coal – “Realms”

Wande Coal’s 7 track EP houses his 2020 debut mega-hit single “Again” and “Naughty Girl” and his previously released songs in 2019; “Vex” and “Ode Lo Like.” The EP also comes with new tracks: “Check,” “Ever Blazin” and a remix to the hit single “Again” which features American-Nigerian rapper, Wale.

20. Cheque – “Razor”

Fast-rising artiste, and Phyno’s Protege, Cheque started the year with his first single, “Satisfied” which is a syrupy and hit potential record produced by Masterkraft. After the success of the debut single, the singer followed it up with the release of his debut body of Work titled “Razor” The EP. The EP is a 5 track body of work with no feature houses the big tune “Zoom“

21. Korede Bello – “Table For Two”

The EP is a 5 track solo project without any feature or guest artiste. The singer worked with 4 producers; Rexxie, Princeton Beats, Johnny Drille, and Ozedikus for this beautiful body of work. “Table For Two EP” houses 3 of Korede Bello’s previous 2020 releases: “Morire,” “Sun MoMi,” and “Mi Casa Su Casa.” ENJOY!!!

22. Laycon – “Who Is Laycon?”

Fast-rising hip hop, Laycon served fans his debut music project “Who Is Laycon? EP”, featuring music acts; Deshinor, YusufKanbai, Tinu, Reminisce & Chinko Ekun. The EP is a perfect mash-up of rap, Afrobeats & pop cuts gives us a window into his versatility and skill. This audio journey sees the rapper open up about creative conflict, love, and street cred. The EP is filled with equal doses of dance-able and quotable moments. On the EP ‘Hip Hop‘ is a big Vibe!… Enjoy!!!

23. T-Classic – “Alirat”

“Alirat” is a four-track E.P. that includes songs such as “La Cream,” “Hold On,” “Pour Me Water (PMW),” and “Love You For Life.“The E.P. features relatively young producers such as Reward Beatz, Yalababayala, and godOmarr.

24. Reekado Banks – “Off The Record”

Award winning singer, Reekado Banks released a new body of work titled “Off The Record” EP on the 27th of November,2020. This is his first project since his debut album “Spotlight” in 2016. The EP is a 7 tracks music project which houses his 2019 mega-hit song “Rora” and the two previously released single in 2020; “Need More” and “You Dey Mad.” The EP features Attifaya, Tiwa Savage, Mr Eazi, Kidakudz, and Harmonize.

25. Yonda – “Wild Blue”

“Wild Blue” EP by Yonda consist of 8 tracks with 22 minutes Runtime and Features Davido, SauceKid & Mayorkun. “Fela Pikin” and “Bro Code” were the lead singles for this new body of work. The EP was produced, mixed, and masted by multiple creatives: Damayo, Mobo, Omyde, Blue Blood, Dera, Dapiano, Fizeks.

26. Di’Ja – “Aphropop Vol. 1”

Di’Ja released her highly anticipated EP – “Aphropop Vol.1” on the 4th of December, 2020. The body of work is a 6 track body of work with only one feature by Sunkey and 3 previously released singles; “Ayo,” “Inyamuri,” and the recent “Yaraye Iye. This EP is a follow up to her 2019 EP “DIJA” with major production done by DJ Coublon, (M&M done by Na Me Dey Mix and Master)…

27. DJ Neptune – “Nobody” The Extended Playlist (Worldwide Remixes)

Nobody – The Extended Playlist (Worldwide Remixes) features 12 new versions of this runaway smash, each containing collaborations with artists from different regions around the world. Collaborators on the project range from Colombian Reggaeton star Dylan Fuentes (who appears on the “Nobody” Latin Remix), Toronto’s Rap icon Kardinal Official, who joins Jaydink and 4korners on the “Nobody” Canada Remix.

France based Tayco the “Nobody” (French Remix), Jamaica’s Konshens and Ghana’s J Derobie on the “Nobody” (Dancehall Remix), South Africa’s Focalistic on the “Nobody” (Amapiano Remix), Trinidad & Tobago’s Voice on the “Nobody” (Carribean Remix) and United Arab Emirate’s Kingdaff, Sedeeg, Masmarz on the “Nobody” (Middle East Remix).

On the home front (Nigeria), “Nobody” Icon Remix features reality star Laycon while the (Igbo Boys Rap Remix) features Zoro and Nuno representing the East, Dj Abba and Magnito representing the North alongside Namenj for (Hausa Boys Rap Remix).

28. Peruzzi – “3 EP”

DMW’s vibe machine, talented singer, and gifted songwriter, Peruzzi released a new project titled “3” EP. The EP consists of three (3) impressive new tracks; “D Side“, “Show Working” and “Reason“. It has guest appearance of British singer and rapper – Not3s. Also three (3) different producers handled the production of this project; V Stix, Lussh and Speroachbeatz respectively. All tracks Engineered by Swaps.

29.Teni – “The Quarantine Playlist” (EP) ft. DJ Neptune

Teni Makanaki joins forces with disc jockey, DJ Neptune to deliver this lovely body of work to her fans during the isolation period. “The Quarantine Playlist” is an EP that consists of 4 tracks all written and performed by Teniola Apata (One take god), complied by DJ Neptune. On this project, Teni enlists 3 producers; Tempoe (Track 1), P.Prime (Track 2,4) and Dera (Track 3).

30. Teddy A – “Alpha Vol 1”

“Alpha Vol 1 EP” (The Soul Playlist), Teddy A name became famous when he got on 2018 Big Brother Naija reality. It is a 5 track body of work that has Praiz and Slimcase as guest artistes on the project.

NIGERIAN EPs RELEASED IN 2020

31. Iyanya – “For Your Love”

Sensational singer, Iyanya took a break from his hiatus to release a new project, an EP titled “For You Love.” The EP is Iyanya’s first official output for the year, it houses 4 beautiful songs which includes “Over You,” “Believe,” “RM 305” and “Days Gone.” It comes after the release of his previous record “Ijeoma” featuring Peruzzi.

32. Maleek Berry – “Isolation Room”

With two freestyles; “Yummy” and “Loyal” to him name his year, Maleek debuted a brand new music project titled “Isolation Room.” The EP. The 7 track body of work which features Tiwa Savage is a blend of soulful charm and traditional African sounds and is just a taste of the highly anticipated upcoming album.

33. Mayorkun – “Geng Remix EP”

Mayorkun surprised his fans worldwide with the release of “Geng (Remix) EP”. The project houses 4 tracks; 1 original version of ‘Geng‘ and 3 (three) different Remix; ‘Naija Version‘, ‘African Verison‘ and the ‘UK version‘. The Naija version features Vector, M.I Abaga, Sinzu and Ycee. The Africa version features Kwesi Arthur, Riky Rick, Rayvanny, and Innoss B. While the International version features Ms Banks and Russ.

34. Brymo – “Libel”

Following the success of the “Yellow” album, Brymo released a brand new project titled “Libel“. This music project is an EP that consists of 5 tracks, 17 minutes runtimes. The tracks on this new body of work are; “Ascendency,” “Love and Paradoxes,” “Messiah Complexes,” “The Phoenix” and “Time.” Brymo featured singer Deborah Prest and the title of this project means defamation, the artwork design of the EP shows the direction of the singer. All songs were written by Brymo, Produced & Mastered by Bigfoot, and the EP art done by Adey Omotade.

35. Magnito – “Bars And Lamba”

Talented rapper/Hip-Pop artiste Magnito released a new body of work titled “Bars And Lamba” EP. It consist of 5 tracks with features from Zanku master, Zlatan, Indigenous Hi-life brothers, Umu Obiligbo, and rising talented melody singer, Ninety and productions from Masterkraft, Type A, Nanobeats, Tony Ross and Beezee.

36. Darey – “Way Home”

Darey releases his 2020 debut EP titled “Way Home“. The body of work is a 7 tracks mini music project with two guest artistes as features; Teni and Patoranking. This coming in after the successful release of the singles; “Jah Guide Me,” and “Jojo” which were his comeback songs after a long break from music releases.

37. Trod – “The LivinGrin”

Trod released his long-awaited project titled, “The LivinGrin” EP. The body of work houses 6-tracks which features Picazo and B Banks. With production assistance from Stubbornbeatz, PuffyBeatz, WavyBeatz, Dawie, and B.Banks.

38. Davolee – “Festival Bar”

Nigerian Indigenous singer, songwriter, and performing artist, Davolee blessed his fans with his new body of work titled “Festival Bar“. This a Hip-pop EP that consists of 4 impressive tracks all written and composed by Davolee, produced by BBanks, Cheqwas, and Unbelievable Beats.

39. Harrysong – “Right About Now”

“Right About Now” by Harry Song was borne out of hard work, freedom of expression, and the quest to deliver sweet music – a sound different from the afro gyration sound Harrysong is known for. ‘Right About Now’ is a project with sounds; carefully-selected and lyrics; passionately written. It features Sheyebanks, Rudeboy, Hiro, Davido, Stonebwoy, and Toofan.

40. Mr Eazi – “One Day You Will Understand”

Don Eazi surprises fans with a new EP titled “One Day You Will Understand.” It’s a light project he hopes would give us some Light. The project features King Promise, C Natty, and has production credits from an all-star team of Africa’s top producers including Blaq Jerzee, Nonso Amadi, and Legendary Beatz.

41. Selebobo – “Bobo Of Africa”

“Bobo Of Africa” is a 7 track EP with the lead single “Dai Dai” featuring Tekno, with production credits from Selebobo, Insane Chips, Wisedon, and Ozedikus.

42. MI Abaga – “Judah The E.P”

The highly respected rapper dropped the E.P titled, “Judah The EP” which houses five tracks, as well as five, featured artistes which include Bucky Raw, AQ, Kauna, Alpha Ojini and it banged real hard. This is MI Abaga’s 10th studio project.

43. SiNZU – “No Promo EP” Vol. 1

Sensational rapper, Sinzu brand new music project “No Promo.” This body of work is for the hip-pop culture as Sinzu relates back with his Nigerian Hip-pop fans and served them with hot banging Bars and dope Hip-pop flow with sweet rap lines. “No Promo EP” Vol. 1 is 20 minutes, 7 tracks project which feature Bils, Verse & Ghetto P with production from Ifeskywalker, kidabeats, Czure, 8notesonline blessed the project with mixing and mastering.

44. YCee – “Quarantunes”

Sensational Nigerian YCee came through with a new 2 track extended play titled “Quarantunes.” The EP houses two firey cuts “MIDF [Money I Dey Find]” produced by Wxla and “Tell Nobody” produced by Brym.

45. Yung6ix – “Introduction To Trapfro”

Yung6ix has always been at the forefront of anything trendy around the African rap scene since he came through the ranks. To further help push the envelope, the rapper served his latest effort christened “Introduction To TrapFro.” With guest appearances from Sinzu, Charass, Peruzzi, Dammy Krane, Dr Barz, Payper Corleone, and noticeably fellow south-south rapper – Erriga, 6ix delivered another worthy body of work which serves as his third studio album.

46. Vector – “African Mind”

Vector returned to educate the minds of his fans with this thoughtful project dubbed “The African Mind” EP. It’s an impressive poetic body of work that addresses Rape and other issues that cages an African (Things we have been brainwashed about). Vector came out with something new and that touches on everything African. He analysis what the average African faces regardless of age, gender, and status.

47. Chike – “Dance Of The Booless”

“Dance of the Booless” sees fan favourites from his “Boo Of The Booless” album reimagined in the genres of EDM, Deep House, Tropical House, Afro-Dance, Amapiano, Reggae/Dancehall, Afro-House, and more. The first volume features reimaginations from Lord Sky, Sarmy Fire, Sensei Lo, DysleX, and Sigag Lauren.

48. Moelogo – “ME EP”

The British-Nigerian singer-songwriter is regarded as one of the most unique and talented artists in the buzzing Afrobeat and the UK music scene. The 5-track EP including up-tempo tracks, such as “For You,” “Koshi” and a fusion of R&B sounds in “I Wonder,” “Sango & Oya” and the down-tempo piano ballad “Ugly Part of Love” is a masterpiece.

49. Jesse Jagz – “Garba”

Jesse Jagz finally made a return to the music scene with a music project tagged “Garba“, where he shares his life story. Gave his fans an insight into his beginning, the life he lived in J-Town. Jesse Jagz got the name Tu-Pac Shakur because of his Bars and Hip-pop flow. “Garba” houses 5 tracks, featured Anchorman and Mr Murph, and Produced by Shadrach Ishaya.

50. CDQ – “See The Queue”

CDQ wrapped up the year with a music project titled “See The Queue” EP. This body of work is a 5 track EP which has Timaya as a guest act. The EP has production credits to maestros like Masterkraft, Orbeat, Jay Pizzle and Vice Beatz.

51. Moelogo – “Myself”’

“Myself” which is Moelogo’s second EP of the year is a perfect blend of Afrobeat, R&B, and HipLife sound.The 6-track EP features two amazing lyricists M.anifest and Incisive with productions from prolific producers ; (Bayoz Muzik, Raheem Bale, Mike Brainchild, and P.Prime).

52. Mohbad – “Light”

This 8-track body of work is a showcase of the long-missing balance between the grassroots music scene and the mainstream dominated pop music, in a way that nothing is given away but the evident work ethic and vigor that resulted in massive streams and now one of the best offering by a new artist in recent years, comparing classics. On this “Light EP“, Mohbad features his boss, Naira Marley, DMW boss/African Pop star, Davido and YAGI boss, Lil Kesh.

53. Wurld – “Afro Soul”

Wurld’s 7-track project houses a diverse range of sounds, however, still manages to be cohesive in presenting themes of self-awareness, romance, heartbreak, survival, and perseverance. It contains two new songs produced by Tempoe. It also features Kida Kudz and Cuppy on ‘Bossy.’ The other track is titled,”Chop N Pay.”

54. Broda Shaggi – “Fine Boy Agbero”

Nigerian singer and comic sensation, Broda Shaggi released his highly anticipated EP entitled, “Fine Boy Agbero.” The body of work houses 5 tracks and it comes after the release of his buzzing record, “Okoto” featuring Zanku Records head honcho, Zlatan.

55. Rexxie – “Afrostreets” EP

Music producer Rexxie released his much anticipated “Afrostreets” EP, a 7-track body of work that features Naira Marley, Zlatan, BarryJhay, and PocoLee. This body of work starts with a banging indigenous Afro-pop beat (highly recommended for the Easterners, suitable for their artistes to jump on) proceeds to the Zanku vibes (O por), and ends with a prayerful track delivered by fast-rising vocalist, Barry Jhay.

56. Jeriq – “Hood Boy Dreams”

Talented Nigerian Indigenous rapper/hip-pop artiste, Jeriq released his highly anticipated music project, “Hood Boy Dreams” (HBD) The EP. The “Hood Boy Dreams“ EP Tells The Story Of A Street Boy And His Dreams. This Project Is Strictly Made For The Streets By The Voice Of The Streets And No Apology Is Rendered If You Can’t Relate To The O.t Of The Streets!

57. Abdul – “Unfinished Business”

ABDUL clearly has “Unfinished Business” with the music industry, as he tested the waters with a solo project. One half of the Black Tribe duo, he takes the listener on a journey of happiness and love, with the opener, “Alori,” emphasizing on persevering and taking responsibility of your life, to the last track, ” Six30,” a sweet love song which features Afrobeats heavyweight Davido, and is a strong contender for fan-favorite off the project.

58. DNA – “Gemini”

This 4-track EP takes listeners on a sonic journey. With this project that showcases musicianship, production value, and artistry, “Gemini EP” proves to be a record for those who are about the creative aspects that make up the foundations of a hit as the twins team up with four amazing producers- Ozedikus, Qasebeatz, DTAC & Prestige.

59. Praiz – “To The Moon”

To The Moon is a 6 track EP Performed , Written and Produced by Praiz , Nigeria’s King of R&B as we know him. Praiz’s versatility is put on display on this project as he hits ranges and high notes with Afro Fusion Melodies.

60. Jaywon – “Aje (The Mixtape)”

Aje is a popular Yoruba word which means wealth, riches or abundance of money. The success of Jaywon’s last two hits Saro and Aje inspired this compilation which contains sounds from every region both in Hausa, Yoruba & Igbo and features the likes of ALIJIITA, MAGNITO from the north, PHYNO, UMU OBILIGBO boys from the east and ZLATAN, BARRY JHAY and LYTA from the west of Nigeria. Enjoy your time listening to beautiful tunes off the EP.
